A demo project showcasing a fully functional e-commerce store for auto parts and accessories built on WordPress using Full Site Editing (Gutenberg). Example: a fast and optimized online store featuring a catalog of automotive products, filtering options, a “One-Click Purchase” feature, a wish list, and integration with Ukrainian payment systems and delivery services.
What Has Been Done
- Custom FSE theme for WordPress & WooCommerce: development of native Gutenberg blocks without using heavy page builders.
- Vehicle selection filter: a convenient widget for selecting parts by Make, Model, Year, and Engine.
- Catalog with Categories and Attributes: an interactive sidebar with categories (Engine, Filters, Braking System, etc.) displaying the number of products.
- “1-Click Buy” Feature: a quick order form using a phone number with a confirmation modal window.
- Wishlist: the ability to add products to a wishlist and easily share the list on social media (Facebook, X, WhatsApp, etc.).
- Checkout:
- Integration with Nova Poshta’s API (automatic selection of city and branch/parcel locker from a list).
- Integration with LiqPay and Monobank (plata by mono) payment methods.
- Multilingual support (TranslatePress): interface language switching (UA / EN) is implemented.
Purpose
To demonstrate the ability to create a high-performance, modern e-commerce store for auto parts based on a pure FSE WordPress architecture. The project shows how to combine the complex logic of WooCommerce (auto parts selection, quick ordering, local integrations) with easy and flexible content editing using Gutenberg blocks.
