The ‘Polonyna’ Hotel — a custom FSE theme with booking functionality

A demo project showcasing a fully customised WordPress theme using Full Site Editing (Gutenberg) — without any page builders. An example is the website for the ‘Polonyna’ mountain hotel in Vorokhta: rooms and suites, restaurant, experiences, gallery and a complete booking process.

What has been done

• A fully customised theme using Full Site Editing — custom Gutenberg blocks, without page builders.
• Booking workflow: search by dates, availability check, room availability cards and a booking request with a price calculation.
• Rooms as a separate post type: gallery, area, capacity, tags and price per night.
• Restaurant menu with categories, a ‘Chef’s Choice’ option and prices.
• Multilingual support (UA / EN / DE) via Polylang — interface and content.
• Contact page with an OpenStreetMap map and a contact form.
• Clean, semantic code, optimised for speed (Core Web Vitals).

Purpose

To demonstrate that a hotel website with a booking system and multiple language options can be created using the native WordPress editor: the administrator can edit room details, menus and text without any coding and without relying on cumbersome website builders.
